KS providers: At this point we do not know what impact the Governor's announced 10% provider rate cut will have on our provider reimbursement rates. We are awaiting more information from the state and will determine the impact on our provider reimbursement rates based on the information we receive. Once we receive more guidance we will communicate any potential impact as soon as possible with all participating providers.

12-15-09: Update on KHPA Provider Rate Reduction
- Any reductions made to our payment levels to providers as a result of the Governor's November 23rd mandate for a 10% reduction in Medicaid reimbursement will be made after we receive formal notification from KHPA regarding the effective date of the "pass through" of the cut and its impact on our payments from KHPA.
- Any reductions to our payment levels will be made based on date of service.
- The effective date of the reductions will be communicated as soon as possible, but it at this point it is anticipated to be either March 1 or April 1 based on information we have received from KHPA.
- Any reductions made will be done through adjustments to the applicable fee schedule(s) and not through a "payment reduction". As such, providers will be able to reconcile the applicable fee paid for each specific claim line.
