12-15-09: Update on KHPA Provider Rate Reduction
  • Any reductions made to our payment levels to providers as a result of the Governor's November 23rd mandate for a 10% reduction in Medicaid reimbursement will be made after we receive formal notification from KHPA regarding the effective date of the "pass through" of the cut and its impact on our payments from KHPA.
  • Any reductions to our payment levels will be made based on date of service.
  • The effective date of the reductions will be communicated as soon as possible, but it at this point it is anticipated to be either March 1 or April 1 based on information we have received from KHPA.
  • Any reductions made will be done through adjustments to the applicable fee schedule(s) and not through a "payment reduction". As such, providers will be able to reconcile the applicable fee paid for each specific claim line.
