Keeping Your Coverage

Have a question about your coverage? Check our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) or call Customer Service at 1-877-FHP-9363.

Check your mail

You or your children could lose your HealthWave coverage if you do not respond to state requests for information.

Please make sure that you answer all mail from the state.

What to do if something changes in your family

It is very important to tell the state if your address changes.

If you move, call the HealthWave Clearinghouse at 1-800-792-4884. Then call Children’s Mercy Family Health Partners at 1-877-FHP-9363 or 816-559-9598.

Other changes you need to report to the HealthWave Clearinghouse include: family size (including the birth of any babies), income, address, phone number, and availability of insurance.

Other insurance

Members have Kansas HealthWave health insurance through Children’s Mercy Family Health Partners (CMFHP).

You may have other health insurance too. This may be from a job, an absent parent, union or other source. If you have health insurance besides Kansas HealthWave, that insurance company must pay for most of your health services before CMFHP pays.

You must report insurance you get from another source or you could lose your benefits. Call the HealthWave Clearinghouse at 1-800-792-4884 if you have other health insurance.
